Mindfulness refers to the practice of being present in the moment, and accepting what that moment might bring or how it might feel.
For the one in five of the general population who experience anxiety or depression, mindfulness can be a powerful tool in understanding your emotions, accepting them and moving forward. Mindfulness generally involves paying attention in the moment, breathing and focusing the mind. This can be a challenging task, especially for those who are coping with Anxiety or trauma reactions. For this reason we have added the ‘active’ element which involves simple stretches, poses and attempts to balance; we find they can be helpful in allowing you to create the connection between your body, your breathing and your thoughts.
