Mates4Mates Back Pain Workshop
- Are you a veteran or family member looking to better understand back pain?
- Do you want to improve your confidence in managing symptoms through evidence-based strategies?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, then the Back Pain Workshop might be for you.
What is the Back Pain Workshop?
The Back Pain Workshop will provide veterans and their families with education around the science of pain, common findings on imaging, the role of surgery and medications, and the importance of movement and exercise in recovery.
The workshop also provides an opportunity for veterans and their families to engage in a supportive group environment, share experiences, and develop practical strategies to assist with long-term management of back pain and overall function.
Please note, there is a minimum number of participants required for facilitation of this workshop. The workshop may be cancelled if the minimum number is not met.
Upcoming Workshops
Our next workshop will run on Tuesday 11 August, from 9am to 11am (AEST) at the RSL Queensland Veteran & Family Wellbeing Centre, Level 1, 274 Stafford Road, Stafford QLD 4053.
Veterans who are interested in participating in the Back Pain Workshop will need to undertake an expression of interest (EOI) process. This EOI includes a clinical screening to ensure this program is suitable for you.
Places in the workshop are available to veterans and family members who have completed the Mates4Mates new client form. If you have not submitted this form and would like to take part, simply fill out the new client form online and our team will be in touch soon.
Expressions of interest for this program will open on Monday 13 July 2026.
