Mates4Mates Lower Body Pain Workshop

  • Are you a veteran or family member experiencing ongoing lower body pain?
  • Do you want to better understand why these conditions occur, and learn practical ways to manage symptoms, reduce pain, and stay active?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, then the Lower Body Pain Workshop might be for you.

What is the Lower Body Pain Workshop?

The Lower Body Pain Workshop is designed to provide practical self-management strategies for veterans and family members experiencing lower body pain.

This workshop will help participants better understand common lower limb conditions, why they occur, and how they can be effectively managed. Led by a physiotherapist, the session will explore self-management strategies, exercise principles, and practical techniques to reduce pain, improve mobility, and support long-term joint and tendon health.

Upcoming Workshops

Our next workshop will run in person on Monday, 14 September 2026 from 9:00am to 11:00am at the RSL Queensland Veteran & Family Wellbeing Centre, Level 1, 274 Stafford Road, Stafford Queensland 4053

Veterans who are interested in participating in the Lower Body Pain Workshop will need to undertake an expression of interest (EOI) process. This EOI includes a clinical screening to ensure this program is suitable for you.

Submit your expression of interest below.

Expressions of interest close Friday, 28 August 2026, however, expressions of interest may close sooner if a large volume of applications are received. It is therefore recommended that expressions of interest are submitted as soon as possible.

Places in the workshop are dependent on meeting the selection criteria. Please note submitting an expression of interest does not automatically qualify an applicant for the next step in the selection process for this workshop.

Places in the workshop are available to veterans who have completed the Mates4Mates new client form. If you have not submitted this form and would like to take part, simply fill out the new client form online and our team will be in touch soon.

If you are interested in upcoming programs, please don't hesitate to contact programs@mates4mates.org.

Workshop expression of interest

Due to receiving a high volume of EOIs for our programs, please take the time to provide thoughtful and considered responses to the following questions. This is to confirm that participants selected for the program meet our requested criteria.

To ensure that participants for the program are selected fairly, all EOI submissions will be assessed individually to identify which participants meet the requirements of the EOI and are most suitable to attend the workshop.

Please note, we are unable to keep EOIs on file as a waitlist for future programs. All programs require individual EOIs to be submitted.

If you selected no because you have not accessed Mates4Mates services before and would like to take part, simply complete the Mates4Mates new client form online and our team will be in touch soon.
