Mates4Mates Move Through Menopause Workshop

  • Are you a veteran or family member looking to better understand perimenopause or menopause?
  • Want to find out how movement can benefit your health during these life changes?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, then the Move Through Menopause Workshop might be for you!

What is the Move Through Menopause Workshop?

The newly developed Move Through Menopause Workshop aims to support veterans and family members experiencing perimenopause or menopause to better understand the changes that occur to women's physiology.

Facilitated by Mates4Mates exercise physiologist, the workshop will provide education and discussion to identify exercise and movement strategies beneficial for each phase of life.

Please note, there is a minimum number of participants required for facilitation of this workshop. The workshop may be cancelled if the minimum number is not met.

Upcoming Workshops

Townsville

Our next workshop will run in person on Wednesday, 4 March 2026 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at the RSL Queensland Veteran & Family Wellbeing Centre, Townsville.

Veterans and family members who are interested in participating in the Move Through Menopause Workshop will need to undertake an expression of interest (EOI) process. This EOI includes a clinical screening to ensure this program is suitable for you.

Submit your expression of interest below.

Expressions of interest close Friday, 20 February 2026,
however, expressions of interest may close sooner if a large volume of applications are received. It is therefore recommended that expressions of interest are submitted as soon as possible.

Places in the workshop are dependent on meeting the selection criteria. Please note submitting an expression of interest does not automatically qualify an applicant for the next step in the selection process for this workshop.

Places in the workshop are available to veterans and family members who have completed the Mates4Mates new client form. If you have not submitted this form and would like to take part, simply fill out the new client form online and our team will be in touch soon.

If you are interested in upcoming programs, please don't hesitate to contact programs@mates4mates.org

To ensure that participants for the program are selected fairly, all EOI submissions will be assessed individually to identify which participants have met the requirements of the EOI and are most suitable to attend the program.

Please note, we are unable to keep EOIs on file as a waitlist for future programs. All programs require individual EOIs to be submitted.

If you selected no because you have not accessed Mates4Mates services before and would like to take part, simply complete the Mates4Mates new client form online and our team will be in touch soon.

Please note: dependent on the program you are applying for, a clinician may ask you during the screening about the possibility of you obtaining a referral for the program. While a referral is not a requirement to participate in the program, it is recommended.
