National Appeal Day hits milestone

19 November 2020

Two weeks on from our second annual National Appeal Day (held 5 November) and we’re still overwhelmed by the generosity of our community! Thanks to our supporters, we raised an incredible $106,000.

This support will help us deliver over 50 new programs, supporting more than 500 veterans and their families.

More people, like Tina. We recently shared with you the struggles that Tina has had to face while supporting her partner Craig, who was medically discharged from the Army. (Add hyperlink to Tina’s story on underlined part.

The impact of service can be a heavy load to bear for family and loved ones too, but because of your support, we can now help lighten that load.

Tina has been there during Craig’s darkest hours, and it’s taken its toll on her mental health and wellbeing.

As a supportive partner, Tina struggled to cope with everything Craig needed, and she too found that she needed support.

Thankfully, Craig has been able to receive psychology support through Mates4Mates, but as you know, Tina, like so many others, needed help too.

Tina has been able to access various services, and because of your support, they will now have even more programs available to them.

Tina has found support and community, allowing her to form valuable friendships with other veterans and their families.

We would like to thank Tina for sharing her story, telling us of the difference that the support they have received has made to her and Craig.
And that is only made possible with the help of our generous supporters.

We are so proud to be part of an organisation that serves the men and women that have served our country.

Thank you again for supporting National Appeal Day.

We are working hard to bring our vital programs to many more veterans and their families, across Australia. And with your help, we can.
